Full Scholarship Awardee to Attend 7-Day Global Conference Leadership Camp and SCMUN Conference

Sit Alvin, an S1 student from our school, was nominated for a full scholarship worth HKD$26,200 to join a Global Affair Literacy Camp and a Model United Nations (MUN) Conference held on the campus of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) organised by See Change Education and CityU. 

 

The Camp comprised exclusive access to CityU lectures and activities on debating, data literacy, and MUN. Participants were also arranged to visit labs at CityU, the CityU dairy farm and the CityU partner laboratory of the State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves. The final two days of the camp included a fierce and fast-paced MUN conference, where Alvin, representing the country of Liberia in the African Union, put forth compelling arguments and strong rebuttals.

 

Alvin performed impressively, and was presented the Outstanding Diplomat Award. He was then nominated for an overseas MUN conference at University of Oxford in the United Kingdom in November, where he will debate with the world’s best scholars about international issues in one of the world’s finest universities.
