Geography Field Camp Adventures

Date: 03/10/2025

The Geography Department, in collaboration with the Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre, organised a field camp for S6 Geography students from 2nd to 3rd October. The camp aimed to enhance students’ fieldwork skills through participation in two distinct studies conducted in Tsuen Wan and Sham Tseng.

In Tsuen Wan, students explored the microclimate of an urban area, while in Sham Tseng, they conducted a coastal study focused on longshore drift and beach gradient. Throughout the camp, students also honed essential research skills by engaging in various stages of the fieldwork process.

In addition to academic learning, the camp provided a valuable opportunity for students to strengthen their collaboration skills with peers.
