Biology Field Trip to WWF Mai Po Nature Reserve

On 28th August, our biology students embarked on an educational visit to the renowned WWF Mai Po Nature Reserve. Immersed in the captivating wetland environment, they learned about the remarkable adaptations of organisms thriving in wetlands, including Gei Wai and Mangroves. This hands-on experience provided invaluable insights into the importance of wetlands in Hong Kong's ecosystem.
Guided by knowledgeable WWF experts, our students witnessed the resilience of Gei Wai and Mangroves, discovering how these organisms have evolved to thrive in the unique challenges of wetland habitats. They gained a profound understanding of the crucial role wetlands play in Hong Kong, from water purification to biodiversity conservation.
This eye-opening visit left a lasting impact, instilling our students with a deep appreciation for wetland conservation. Equipped with newfound knowledge, they are eager to become advocates for preserving these vital ecosystems and nurturing a sustainable future.
