Essay Writing Competition 2017 – Merit Award

The HKU Centennial College hosted an essay competition in March. Secondary 4 to Secondary 6 students were eligible to join, and competition was keen as more than 300 entries were received. 4E Jolie Lam’s essay on “Hongkongers as Globetrotters” was selected and won the Merit Award. Her essay discussed tourism and travelling in the globalised world, and how the habit has changed Hongkongers’ mindset and worldview.
