The 52nd Joint School Science Exhibition

This summer, a team of S4 students, Li Ting Ping, Au Kwan Wo, Yue Ho Tin and Tai Chun Ho Ryan, participated in the 52nd Joint School Science Exhibition. The theme of this year’s competition was “Journey”. Our team designed and produced an air purifier with bamboo charcoal filters for travelers on board airplanes which we titled “To Your Health, 「竹」君健康”. We chose bamboo charcoal to filter the air instead of using ion purification as some airports do not accept ionizers on board. Besides, bamboo charcoal is cheap and reusable. Our air purifier was featured in an exhibition at the Central Library from 19th to 26th August 2019. Our team has gained insight from this invaluable experience.
