Bidding for a Brighter Future: S3 Students Explore Life’s True Values at the Life Auction Workshop

Our S3 students recently participated in an inspiring and thought-provoking “Life Auction” workshop. This interactive event challenged students to manage a limited budget of “life credits” to bid on a variety of intangible assets and future achievements, ranging from travelling and career success to family happiness and personal excellence. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and intense deliberation as students weighed their options and made strategic bids on the items they valued most within a simulated, high-stakes environment.

Through this immersive activity, students gained profound insights into the importance of prioritisation and the reality of life’s trade-offs. This meaningful experience deeply resonates with our school’s commitment to fostering values education centred around responsibility. The workshop served as a powerful catalyst for reflection, helping students realise that achieving their most cherished goals often requires a willingness to put in significant effort or forgo certain short-term desires to focus on long-term gains.
