Visiting the Legislative Council
Date: 08/10/2016
Our school's Liberal Studies Club organised a visit to the Legislative Council Complex on 8th October 2016. It aimed at providing an opportunity for students to know more about the legislature in Hong Kong.
The twenty four participants enjoyed a guided tour in the Complex and they were able to experience formal debates in the Legislative Council by participating in a role play. They played the roles as chairperson, government officials as well as legislative councilors and discussed the topic “Strengthening control on light pollution”. Participants got a better understanding about the history, functions and daily operations of the legislature in Hong Kong. It was an exciting and meaningful experience for them.
