Christmas Love Offering 2022

Being a season of love, Christmas is a perfect time to express care and love for others, especially those in need. Members of our Moral and Civic Education Club as well as a newly-established UNICEF Club had the privilege of knowing grassroots families, and learning their Christmas wishes before mobilising the entire school to make their wishes come true.

Members of the entire school, ranging from students, alumni, teachers, to our Principal, donated a wide variety of items these families need. In addition to plenty of toys, stationery and daily necessities, the most touching part is that more than 10 S1-5 classes from our school, as well as our partner school, Bishop Hall Jubilee School, chipped in and donated heaters and duvets which helped more than 40 families that Kwun Tong Methodist Social Service, our NGO partner, serves. Within just days, students from all forms also wrote and drew some 130 Christmas cards which one of our students designed, and these were also all sent to our NGO partner.

While the donated items are precisely what these families need, it is the concern and care these donations convey that matter, and Hoi Ping will continue our mission of loving and caring for those around us on one hand, and educating our students about expressing these in concrete terms through service learning on the other.
