Biology Workshop on Extracting DNA from Strawberries

The Biology Club organised a workshop on DNA extraction on 17th November 2022. DNA is the genetic materials found in the nucleus of cells and we seldom see it in our daily life. At the workshop, students were instructed to add different solutions to strawberries to extract DNA out of the strawberry cells. It was the first time for many of the participants to see DNA and everyone was thrilled! This workshop surely elicited students’ interest in Biology.
