4C Student-led Service Learning Programme

A group of 20 students joined a 4C Youth Volunteer Leadership Project organised by the Agency for Volunteer Service and the Hong Kong Institute of Volunteers. The students held a student-led service learning programme to conduct four online lessons for some Chinese-speaking and non-Chinese-speaking students in a kindergarten in Whampoa. All the lessons and teaching materials on the two chosen themes, clothing and food culture, were designed by our students. Our students learnt how to solve problems and communicate with people of different backgrounds including their schoolmates, kindergarten students, and the teaching staff of the kindergarten they served. The feedback was very positive and encouraging as the aim of enhancing the kindergarten students’ understanding of their classmates’ cultures was achieved.
