Life Buddies Mentorship Programme – Visit to North District Hospital and Wo Hop Shek Crematorium

Our school partners with the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD), the staff members of which took our students through the Life Buddies Mentorship Programme this year. On 30th November 2019, our students were offered a glimpse of how engineering comes to life during a visit to the North District Hospital and Wo Hop Shek Crematorium. Staff members of the EMSD unpacked the pivotal roles engineering and science play in hospitals and crematoria by shedding light on the scientific rationales behind the handy tools surgeons use, the setups in wards, and the professional cremation services. These taught students a practical lesson as to the application of engineering and science.
