English Week 2023
日期: 06/03/2023
The English Week is the biggest English event of our school. Organised by the English Department, it is an annual event that promotes a reading culture in our school. This year’s English Week, taking place from Mar 6 to Mar 10, consisted of a Book Fair, a Reading Talk, and teachers’ and students’ book recommendations in the Morning Assembly.
The Book Fair was a success! Our Reading Ambassadors, a team of S2 to S4 students, were on duty every day to promote reading to parents and students. Teachers also encouraged students to read by taking their classes to the Book Fair and giving tips on buying books. The rich reading atmosphere was palpable!
The highlight of the English Week had to be the Reading Talk. This year, we were graced by the presence of Ms. Agnes Tai, the author of Tall Miracles. In the talk, Ms. Tai shared what inspired her to write and the profound life lessons mentioned in the book.
While the Morning Assembly is a daily occurrence, it was very exciting during the English Week as a few English teachers appeared as special guests to share their favourite books. Students listened attentively and learnt what they could appreciate about a book.
Stay tuned for the English Week next year!
