STEAM achievement
In response to the STEAM education advocated by the Education Bureau, our school has been sparing no pain to promote all-round development in the corresponding subjects. New STEAM equipment, namely, 3D printers, a laser cutter, a hydroponics machine, and robots, are set up to enrich students’ learning experience. Our students are also encouraged to actively partake in different competitions and activities to apply and showcase their STEAM knowledge.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, we trained students to primarily participate in two types of competitions related to data applications and cybersecurity. The most prestigious award was secured by a team composed of four S.4 and S.5 ICT students who excelled in the "StoryMaps Application Competition - Using Census Data to Tell a Story." They were awarded the titles of Champion in the Senior Secondary Stream and Best Census Data Application Award. Additionally, other teams received Merit Awards for their submissions in the "Smart Campus Project 2024" and the "Open Data Hackathon 2024". Furthermore, four teams participated in two cybersecurity-related competitions and gained valuable experiences.
